The 5 Pillars and You
Your Cover Letter
Dear Br. Basil,
. That's me in a nutshell. But I suppose if you're going to consider me for enrollment in St. Bonaventure University's Integrated Marketing Communications program, you might want to know a little bit more about me. And since the program allows graduates to Create Your Brand, I thought you'd like to hear about my brand. It might need some work.
My sock drawer is slightly organized than the average person. Translation: I'm more of a thinker. "What about your work ethic?", you ask. Well, I've heard, more often than not, that my work ethic is equivalent to that of a super . In business terms, I work well , get things done, and avoid distractions. Also, despite the names my friends call me, I'm a die-hard user. I don't necessarily have an odd relationship with my computer, like some people, but I definitely know where my allegiance lies.
On a more personal side, should you ever invite me over for breakfast, you ought to know that I absolutely LOVE -- much more than any normal person. It's really a very strange obsession. In unrelated news, some people have told me I'm more of a person--I'm not sure that really matters for the IMC program, but I thought it was worth noting. And while we're on the subject, my mom makes the best , so if it comes down to me and another candidate, let me know. I'll hook you up. Oh, and one more thing: when I was young, like maybe 5, I always thought I wanted to be a . Nothing to worry about, though. That desire has since faded. I just wanted to clear the air in case the topic came up the first time we met.
I never dreamed and would come up in a cover letter, but I think that's all I can tell you about my brand at the moment. I guess the ball is in your court now. I'd really like to learn more about St. Bonaventure's Integrated Marketing Communications Master's Degree program.
Give me a call sometime soon. Shoot me an email. I'm unique, and I'm driven. And I know that I would benefit from a program that's not just like the others. I can't wait to get started at Bonas, and finish creating my brand.
p.s. I've always felt a is better than . Do you agree?
